Privacy policy
Your climb is yours.
This policy explains how Power Paws, developed by Silt Labs, handles data in the iOS app, Android app, and this website. Last updated July 17, 2026.
The short version
- Power Paws does not sell personal data.
- We do not use personal data for targeted advertising.
- Your chosen username, score, and selected cat can appear on the public leaderboard.
- Most settings, progression, run history, and inventory stay on your device.
- The current iOS build includes Meta technology for optional Story sharing and automatic app-event logging.
Data we handle
Player identity and leaderboard
When you choose a username, the app creates a random player identifier on your device and sends that identifier and username to our backend. When you submit a run, we also receive the score and selected character identifier. The leaderboard displays usernames, scores, and selected characters to other players. It does not display the underlying player identifier.
Data kept on your device
Control preferences, progression, Treat and premium-currency balances, unlocked items, purchase unlocks, and completed-run history are currently stored locally. This data is not sent to us unless a feature described in this policy needs it, such as score submission, purchase restoration, or sharing a run that you choose to share.
Purchases
Apple processes iOS purchases. Power Paws receives the product and transaction status needed to unlock or restore an item, but does not receive your full payment-card details. Android does not currently process real-money purchases. If that changes, this policy and the Google Play Data safety disclosure will be updated before release.
Website and service logs
This website has no user accounts, forms, advertising, or first-party analytics. Our website host and backend provider may process standard technical logs—such as IP address, browser or device information, requested page, request time, and error information—to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot their services.
How we use data
- create and maintain your player identity;
- submit, rank, and display leaderboard scores;
- deliver and restore purchases;
- operate, secure, debug, and improve Power Paws;
- respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests; and
- prevent abuse, fraud, or violations of our rules.
Your choices
- You can choose not to use Facebook or Instagram sharing.
- You can change the public username shown in the app.
- You can request access, correction, or deletion of data linked to your player identity using the process below.
Power Paws does not request access to your contacts, precise location, photos, camera, or microphone. An operating-system share sheet only opens when you choose to share something.
Retention and security
Local data remains on your device until it is cleared by the app or operating system. We keep server-side player and leaderboard data while the service is active or until a verified deletion request is completed. We may keep limited records longer when reasonably necessary for purchase reconciliation, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Data is transmitted over encrypted network connections, and access to production systems is restricted to people and providers who need it to operate Power Paws. No security method is perfect, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data & account requests
Request deletion
For the current beta, send a private request through Power Paws in TestFlight using Send Beta Feedback, or through the private feedback option on the Power Paws Google Play testing listing. Use the subject Delete my Power Paws dataand include your platform and exact in-game username. Do not include a password, receipt, or payment-card information.
After we verify the request, we will delete or de-identify the server-side player profile, leaderboard entries, and other data tied to that player identifier, except limited records we must retain for the reasons described above. Removing server data does not erase data stored only on a device. A public privacy contact and an in-app deletion path will be available before a public store release.
See beta support instructions →Children's privacy
Power Paws does not ask for a player's real name, email address, precise location, or other sensitive profile information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided personal data, use the deletion process above so we can review and remove it.
Changes and questions
We will update this page and its effective date before materially changing how Power Paws handles data. For privacy questions during the beta, use the private TestFlight or Google Play feedback channel described above. This policy will be updated with a public privacy contact before public release.
